THE MEMORIAL PROJECT

Photography has always been more than documentation to me. It is preservation and return. It is something to hold when everything else feels uncertain; a photograph becomes a tangible anchor to the people and moments that shaped us.

Once a quarter, I offer a gifted portrait session to a family or individual navigating significant loss or hardship. These sessions are unhurried and intentional. They are created as a way to preserve connection in seasons where time feels fragile. Each memorial session is mindfully planned and includes a curated gallery of edited images and a fine art heirloom print.

This offering is application-based and supported in part by contributions from AEA clients. When funding allows, additional sessions are gifted. If you feel this may be right for your family, or would like to refer someone, you may apply below.

THE MEMORIAL PROJECT PORTRAIT SESSIONS

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Each memorial session includes a gently paced portrait session of up to 90 minutes, a curated gallery of professionally edited digital images, and one heirloom 8×10 fine art print.

FREQUENCY & FUNDING

I am able to accommodate one session per quarter on a sliding scale basis.
Additional sessions may be offered as funding becomes available through gifted contributions.

ELIGIBILITY & REFERRALS

The Memorial Project is reserved for individuals and families navigating significant hardship or loss. This may include circumstances such as, but not limited to, terminal illness, pregnancy or infant loss, the passing of a loved one, or the destruction of personal photographs due to disaster.

Due to the emotional nature of this offering and the intention behind it, a limited number of sessions are available each year. Sessions are scheduled through a thoughtful application or referral process. Submissions are reviewed with care and recipients are selected based on need, timing, and available funding. This offering is not first-come, first-served.

If you or someone you know may benefit from a Memorial Project session, you are welcome to submit an application or referral below. If selected, I will reach out directly to begin planning a session that feels gentle, meaningful, and aligned with your family.

The Memorial Project is made possible in part through the generosity of AEA clients and community. If you feel called to contribute, optional gifts help make additional sessions available for families navigating difficult seasons.
